We are looking for a middleweight Digital Designer to work with the team to deliver and encourage print/digital concepts, campaigns and strategies to meet client briefs and expectations.

Working with authority and professionalism, they will assist in creative tasks and collaborate with team members, ensuring high quality design work and displaying the expertise that has gone into the project.

Helping the wider team to develop the agency’s digital design capability through inventive concepts, the aim is to set online campaigns apart from those of competitors. The fullest understanding of graphic design, typography and digital standards is as essential as the experience to execute projects of all sizes, and complete them with resourcefulness and dedication.

The candidate must be proficient in the following programmes:

  • Photoshop
  • InDesign
  • Illustrator
  • Sketch/XD & Invision
  • AfterEffects

 

Basic knowledge of the following:

  • HTML Coding
  • CSS

Responsibilities:

  • Producing visually appealing design across digital and print. This includes social media content, marketing emails, web banners, digital assets for e-commerce and websites, displaying advertising and print marketing. Testing and optimising for web.
  • Understanding and interpreting client briefs, and iterate new designs based on client feedback
  • Translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Providing support for members of the creative team
  • Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings
  • Maintaining high standards and ensuring only the best output of design
  • Generating ideas and selling them into clients and wider members of the team
  • Collaborating across the agency to drive up standards of digital creativity
  • Keeping up to date with latest industry trends and technology

Skills required:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of visual design principles
  • In-depth digital design capabilities and significant graphic design experience (3+ years industry experience). Ability in layout, photo editing, retouching and artworking is essential, some UX/UI and animation would be a plus.
  • Experience in creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences
  • Experience working directly with developers to implement designs
  • Experience in print layout and print preparation
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Adaptability to a fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Problem solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • The ability to think creatively and deliver clever concepts
  • The foresight to put themselves in the shoes of the user
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience working in Figma and Sketch would be preferable but not mandatory
  • Proven experience in developing content for social media
  • Experience working with brand systems
